Art is a vehicle for passion, designed to connect the creator and the audience together, for even a short moment, and display a unified vision of understanding. Music is not notes on a page or sound files in a recording studio. Good music is an uncontrollable bubbling up of energy, emotion and expression, finding it's way into the ears and leaving the mind thinking - great music has both questions and answers.
Long before there were recordings, posters, websites and all the auxiliary tasks of being a band, each member of Roster McCabe shared an inherent desire and will to create and play music. Intial attempts were shaky at best (ha), but one pattern became clear - the more we tried the better it became. It is this simple idea that moves the band forward, writing new songs, enhancing performances and pushing our own personal limits until we find ourselves walking the line between chaos and harmony. Chaos is for excitment, harmony is for beauty.
Our accomplishments at this point are somewhat trivial for a band so new, although the reviews and support we do recieve are very satisfying and encouraging. The music and concerts speak for themselves, you are more than welcome to form and keep your own opinion. What we are realizing is that this band is our means of expression, our blank canvas, and a setting where the creative process is motivated and admired. For the most up to date details on Roster McCabe, please listen and download our live shows, available for free off our website. It is our method of keeping in touch with listeners and allowing them to walk with us every step of the way.
