Benefit of a Doubt formed during the summer on 2001, and has been playing music ever since. Throughout the years they have performed relentlessly, acquiring hundreds of shows beneath their belts. They've taken part in several midwest tours, and recently signed to Suckapunch Records out of Lincoln Nebraska. After signing to the label, they released their debut EP titled "With This, We Win". Benefit of a Doubt is a band that has thus far ignored the pressure to conform to a popular style or genre, and sets their own goals and standards. "We have three objectives: make music we're proud of, perform it with passion, and share it with those who will listen".

we are not breaking up. you can take that to the bank.
let us be the first to tell you this, before some idiot tells you we broke up!
boad hasn't had a break since i joined in like 2004.

the reasons for the break are to write/demo new songs for our 2007 album, get extremely tight, make people excited to see us when we come back, work jobs to make money to record the 2007 album & to eventually own like no otha!

this doesn't mean we aren't playing ANY shows in 2006 after July 15th, but it sure does mean that we aren't playing alot. we just haven't decided when they will be. expect at least one show, maybe two.

so if you feel like seeing us and hanging out before/after we play, come to the July 15th show @ the outland ballroom.

also, when we do record some demos, be prepared to listen, we will send event invites or post bulletins to let everyone know.

don't be shy, we will reply to every comment unlike ever before. reply to every message, and possibly comment you every now and then when you LEAST expect it!

Want to get into our shows free? Get free cd's/shirts/buttons/stickers?

The B.O.A.D. Official Street Team has been in the works forever. I am attempting to start this in hopes for it to grow eventually as we receive more dedicated people/fans to help us in keeping it together as well as future team captains to take over for me.

Once again, this is a small step to becoming a real street team. So our FIRST MISSION is to get 5 dedicated people to pass out flyers for us. The show we are aiming @ right now is Jan 7th @ The Rockwell. But in the future, of course there will be more.

It would be a plus if you attended one of these schools: Glendale, Kickapoo, Central, Parkview, Hillcrest, Nixa, Battlefield, Marshfield, Ash Grove, Willard, Ozarks Technical Community College, Missouri State University, etc. If not, thats still alright.

Now, what we expect is for you to have designated areas to handle in regards to flyering. This will include CD stores, the Springfield Skatepark, Downtown Springfield, Hot Topic and several schools (including most of the ones listed above.) We really need help with this and want to make sure that we have some dedicated people to give a flyer to anyone who would be willing to accept one.

While still on the topic of where to flyer, we would expect you to be able to help promote us online through your MYSPACE, your friends MYSPACE and their friends MYSPACE by pasting our online flyers to their pages. Plus any message boards, Xangas, Live Journals you would think that would be worth your time.

YOU WILL BE REWARDED FOR YOUR WORK.
